Recovery Group for Disordered Eating
This recovery group provides support and skills for individuals struggling with challenging feelings, thoughts, and/or behaviors about food, exercise, weight, and body image. The group is open to adults (18+) affected across the spectrum of disordered eating and eating disorders. Available to residents in BC.
Throughout the 10-week program participants will join weekly virtual sessions to engage in discussions and activities that provide insight and support with recovery goals. The facilitating therapists and dietitian will provide psychoeducation and skills to aid in participants’ recovery process. The program is informed by evidence-based approaches including Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for eating disorders, as well as incorporates self-compassion strategies, intuitive eating and HAES principles.
